Mehdi Hasan played record century innings against India, this happened for the second time in ODI history

New Delhi. The three-match ODI series being played between India and Bangladesh will be remembered for one player reason. Mehdi Hasan Miraj of Bangladesh did something in the second consecutive match which made his name recorded in the pages of history. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 271 runs for 7 wickets in the second ODI. Miraj brought the team to this score in the biggest ODI innings here.

Mehdi Hasan of Bangladesh has performed amazingly in the second consecutive match against India. Batting in trouble, scored a blistering century for the team. After winning the toss, Bangladesh went out to bat and lost 6 wickets for 69 runs. From here Miraj came and played such a partnership with Mahmudullah which changed the course of the match. He took the score to 271 runs by unbroken partnership of 148 runs for the 7th wicket and 54 runs for the 8th wicket.

Miraj’s wonder in the second consecutive match

Earlier, in the first ODI played on Sunday, December 4, Miraj turned the tide of the batting match. Chasing the target of 187 runs against India, the host team had lost 6 wickets for 136 runs. Miraj, along with Mustafizur Rahman, took the last wicket and shared more than 50 runs to win the match for the team.

Miraj created history with century innings

For Bangladesh, Miraj completed a century in the second ODI by taking 1 run on the last ball of the innings. This was the first century of his ODI career. During this innings, he scored 100 runs off 83 balls, hitting 8 fours and 4 sixes. With his century in Mirpur, he became the first Bangladeshi batsman and only the second batsman in the world to score a century in ODIs while batting at number 8. Earlier, Simi Singh of Ireland had done a wonderful job of becoming the first batsman to do so by scoring a century against South Africa.
