Is Team India’s fleet doing IPL? T20 World Cup also became a hurdle, Venkatesh Prasad raised the question

India lost the ODI series 0-2 to Bangladesh.
India failed to chase down 272 runs in Dhaka.
India will play its last ODI in Chittagong on Saturday.

New Delhi. Former cricketers Virender Sehwag and Venkatesh Prasad have expressed displeasure over the ‘outdated’ strategy of the Indian team after the ODI series defeat at the hands of Bangladesh. Former fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad said the team management will have to take tough decisions while Sehwag asked Rohit Sharma’s team to “wake up”. Before Bangladesh, India was defeated 1-0 by New Zealand in the rain-affected ODI series. The Indian team has not won any ICC title since 2013.

In such a situation, Venkatesh Prasad said in a series of tweets, “India is taking new initiatives in so many areas around the world, but our strategy in limited overs cricket is years old.” He said, “England took tough decisions after being knocked out in the first round in the 2015 World Cup and has become such a wonderful team today. India will also have to take tough decisions and change its thinking.

IND vs BAN: Rohit Sharma’s bravery is being praised, but Gavaskar raised questions

Prasad further said, “We could not win a single T20 World Cup since the inception of IPL and have not done much in ODIs in the last five years except winning meaningless bilateral series.” He said, “He has not learned from his mistakes for a long time and is not able to do anything special in ODI cricket. Change is necessary.

Let us tell you that despite the mighty innings of injured Rohit Sharma, the amazing performance of Mehdi Hasan Miraj in the second consecutive match overshadowed India in the end. Bangladesh took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after registering a thrilling five-run win in the second ODI on Wednesday. Bangladesh, deciding to bat first, made a strong score of 271 runs for seven wickets. In response, the Indian team was able to score only 266 runs for nine wickets.
