He further added that while 13 teams, including hosts China PR, have already qualified for the second round of the AFC Asian Qualifiers on the basis of their earlier performances, the final 11 places remain up for grabs for the 24 teams in the decisive group stage to be held in June. .
The six host nations include India, Kuwait, the Kyrgyz Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia and Uzbekistan in all five AFC zones. The AFC confirmed in a statement on its official website.
The AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Qualifier Final Round will be held over three match days on June 8, 11 and 14, 2022, with the group winners and the best 5 second-placed teams earning tickets to the Asian Cup in China.
