IND vs NZ: Water again on Surya’s fast batting, second ODI match canceled due to rain
India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI: The second match of the ODI series between India and New Zealand was played in Hamilton. But this match could not be completed due to rain and was cancelled. Batting first after losing the toss, the Indian team scored 89 runs in 12.5 overs. During this, Suryakumar Yadav was batting fast. But the rain ruined his strong innings. Shubman Gill remained unbeaten after scoring 45 runs with the help of 4 fours and a six.
New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first for this match. While the Indian team was invited for batting first. Team India scored 89 runs at the loss of one wicket in 12.5 overs till the match was called off. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill came to open for India. Dhawan got out after scoring 3 runs. But Shubman played an important innings. He scored an unbeaten 45 facing 42 balls. Shubman also hit 4 fours and a six.
Suryakumar, who came to bat at number 3, was batting fast. But the rain spoiled the fun. Surya faced 25 balls and scored an unbeaten 34. His innings included 3 sixes and 2 fours.
Matt Henry took one wicket for 20 runs in 4 overs for New Zealand. Mitchell Center proved to be very expensive for the team. He looted 9 runs in 1 over. Michael Bracewell gave 18 runs in 2 overs. Tim Southee gave 12 runs in 3 overs. While Lockie Ferguson gave 24 runs in 2.5 overs.
