New Delhi. The Indian team had to face defeat in the second match of the three-match series against Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma came on the field after a serious hand injury and scored fifty. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 271 runs for 7 wickets on the basis of Mehdi Hasan Miraj’s century. The Indian team was able to score only 266 runs for 9 wickets. Bangladesh won the match by 5 runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Brave innings of Rohit Sharma

Captain Rohit Sharma stepped on the field even after suffering a serious hand injury. In the last over, he hit big shots one by one and took the team closer to the score. Together with Siraj, he brought the team closer to victory. The captain scored a brilliant half-century in just 28 balls but could not win the team.

Indian batting flopped again

Even before starting the batting, Team India suffered a major setback due to injury to captain Rohit Sharma. Virat Kohli was sent to open the innings along with Shikhar Dhawan. He got out after scoring 5 runs in 6 balls. Dhawan returned after scoring just 8 runs, after which Washington Sundar was sent in the upper order and then KL Rahul was also dismissed. Miraj’s inning changed the match

After winning the toss, the Bangladesh team came out to bat first and the start was not good. Mohammad Siraj took the wickets of both opener Anamul Haque and captain Liton Das. Umran took the third wicket and then Washington Sundar took three wickets one after the other to suddenly make the score 69 for 6. From here Miraj started showing his mettle on the field. Played such a partnership with Mahmudullah which changed the course of the match. He took the score to 271 runs by unbroken partnership of 148 runs for the 7th wicket and 54 runs for the 8th wicket.
