Bengaluru FC got the season off to a flying start by beating NEUFC 4-2 and a win against Odisha FC would give them momentum going forward. Bengaluru FC played five matches in the pre-season, out of which they won two, lost two and drew one. Some of the youngsters in the team were also involved in the Durand Cup.
Odisha FC, on the other hand, had 12 points from 20 matches after finishing 11th last season. In which Odisha FC will have to work hard. The club won only two games and lost 12. This season, they will be hoping to at least finish in mid-table.
Odisha FC have roped in a number of players who look good on paper but it remains to be seen how well they perform on the field. To fix last season’s woes, the club have added Victor Mongil and Hector Rodas. Mangil has joined from a top tier Georgian club FC Dinamo Tbilisi.
As for Rodas, he has experience playing in La Liga with Levante UD. The good thing about Odisha FC is that they do not have any injury concerns and it will be a challenging task for Ramirez to pick in the starting eleven.
