It may have been done in a fit of gusto, but a well-known Malayalam football commentator has found himself in trouble after he ‘kissed the feet’ of a Ukrainian Indian Super League (ISL) player from Kerala Blasters during an interview. His act is being strongly condemned on social media by all the people including football lovers.

After the video of the incident went viral, angry netizens slammed commentator Shaiju Damodaran for doing such an act in the name of ‘the whole of Kerala’ and dragging the entire Malayali community into it. The controversial incident took place during her recent interview with Ivan Kaliujny for a YouTube channel.

Sports commentator Shaiju Damodaran’s ‘kiss on the foot’ video receives mixed reactions from netizens and football fans alike. During an interview with Ukranian ISL player of Kerala Blasters Ivan Kalyuzhnyi, the commentator had kissed the foot of the player.
