New Delhi. Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday left for Qatar on a two-day visit during which he will represent India at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup. Dhankhar is visiting Doha at the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
“Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar leaves for Doha on an official visit to Qatar to represent India at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2022,” Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said on Twitter.

Apart from attending the opening ceremony of the Football World Cup, the Vice President will also meet members of the Indian community during his visit.
