Former Pak bowler told India’s bowling – third class, said – pole is opening

India vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI is to be played on Saturday.
New Delhi. Former Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria has targeted the bowlers of Team India after the series loss to Bangladesh. Kaneria described India’s bowling as ‘third class’ after allowing the hosts to go from 69/6 to 271/7 in the second ODI in Dhaka on Wednesday, 7 December. Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh lost six wickets in 19 overs. But after this Mehdi Hasan Miraj (100 * off 83 balls) and Mahmudullah (77 runs off 96 balls) added 148 runs for the seventh wicket to convert Bangladesh’s innings into a big score.
The hosts won the second ODI by five runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Hailing Bangladesh’s performance, Danish Kaneria criticized the Indian bowlers for their inability to dismiss the opposition’s lower order. Kaneria said on his YouTube channel, “It may sound harsh, but India’s bowling was third class. Where is Indian cricket going? The situation in Bangladesh is similar to that of India. The wickets are bowler-friendly; Still the secrets of their bowlers are being exposed. Does he not have the ability to take wickets? Is India missing Bumrah, Shami, Bhubaneswar? India needs to build a good bowling unit.”

The former Pakistan cricketer said that India’s bowlers were not aware of where the Mehdi-Mahmudullah pair had to bowl. He said, “Nobody bowled on the stumps. There was no yorker. The execution was not correct. The captaincy was also not good, because runs came easily. With them at 69/6, India should have bowled Bangladesh out for 100-120 to end the game. The wicket becomes difficult to bat on in the second half and Bangladesh knows how to choke the opposition even with 180 on the board.

Team India’s off-spinner Washington Sundar was a brilliant bowler with figures of 3/37. However, the rest of the bowling unit struggled. Especially when Mahedi and Mahmudullah were batting. Where Team India’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj dismissed both Bangladesh openers cheaply, but proved to be very expensive in the end.
Kaneria was not impressed by Siraj’s efforts. Kaneria said that Siraj cannot be free-spirited in the name of being aggressive. He said, “Siraj gave a lot of runs. It is good that you are aggressive, but their bowling is too open. He was not looking in rhythm at all. Even Shardul Thakur was not seen in rhythm. Once Bangladesh reached 270, everyone knew it would be tough for India.” Mohammad Siraj gave 73 runs in 10 overs, while Shardul Thakur gave only 47 runs, but he gave 16 runs in his last over.
